Understanding the importance of finding the right therapist to support you on your journey is a key priority for me. That's why I offer a free, no obligation 15-minute telephone or video call. This initial consultation is a great opportunity to discuss any concerns, learn about the therapeutic approach, and determine whether we are the right fit for each other. Your comfort and confidence in your therapist is extremely important to me.
Initial Consultation
Your journey begins with an initial consultation, where we’ll get to know each other. This session allows us to discuss any concerns, goals, and what you hope to achieve through therapy. There will also be an opportunity to explain how CBT works and answer any questions you may have.
Personalised Treatment Plan
Based on our initial consultation, we will collaboratively develop a personalised treatment plan tailored to your specific needs and objectives. This plan will outline the focus areas for your therapy and set clear, achievable goals.
Therapy Sessions
Our therapy sessions typically last 50 minutes and are conducted in a confidential, comfortable setting. During these sessions, you will learn practical strategies and skills to manage your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours more effectively. I will use a range of CBT techniques to help you challenge unhelpful thought patterns and develop healthier coping mechanisms.
Homework and Practice
CBT is an active form of therapy, which means that your progress continues outside of our sessions. You will be given practical exercises and homework to complete between sessions. This work is crucial as it helps reinforce the skills you learn and apply them in real-life situations.
Progress Review
Regular reviews of your progress are an integral part of my approach. We will periodically assess your progress towards your goals, discuss any challenges you're facing, and adjust your treatment plan as necessary to ensure you are getting the most out of your therapy.
